Plum Paper Unboxing And Review 2016

Super excited about this!!! When I first looked into the vast world of planners i wanted the ever so popular Erin Condrin planner.... Yeah, Price point was NOT in my budget for a planner. During my research for a similar planner i came across Plum Paper Planners on Etsy and later found their website www.plumpaper.com. And they are customizable, you can even put a photo on the front or a monogram and you can add up to 75 additional pages with a regular 12 month calendar. they also have sections which ill talk about in the video below.

Update!

Just a quick post to say I'll be back by Monday creating and posting! I spent the better part of the last few days Organizing and the week before just having some mommy and baby time :)  So give it a little bit and I'll be updating and my new goal is to post three, yes THREE times a week!
Yeah we'll see how that works ;)

How Cool Is That?! Brusho Exploding Watercolor Crystals

I definitely had a blast playing with these guys! This very impromptu video was made when these little suckers arrived almost a month before I expected them to. I ordered them from amazon for under 30$ which included 5 colors and a thickener (i'm still trying to figure out what that's for) After playing with them I definitely want to try to make some Mists with it and see how that goes since we all know mists can be somewhat pricey!

The colors in the whole line are very pretty but my kit only came with these: Turquoise, Leaf Green, Yellow, Purple and Brilliant red.

Loads Of Fun

Hey everyone! Back again with a BRAND new stamp set from Lawn Fawn! It's called Loads Of Fun and its officially my new favorite set! I bought it with the coordinating stamp set because I couldn't possibly imagine cutting it all out by hand but you CAN buy it separately! I love the end result of this card I made for a friend of mine.

Ship Window Card

Hey all! Welcome back :) I'm back with this "ship window" type card that I really like, I'll definitely be making it again now that I have a better understanding on how to do it :)

Here's the Finished Product:

Honey Bee Stamps Cards

I positively LOVED making these cards from the Honey Bee Stamps sets. I purchased 4 sets about a month or so back and finally got around to using them and trying them out! I must say overall im impressed! Plus the quality of the stamps is great, they're not stiff or hard at all which is great and they transfer ink flawlessly!

The first card I did is this one here :

Layered Embossing

This technique I've seen done many times, but it always confused me how they could line it up so perfectly with having to emboss each layer on its own, then I found the trick! It's a matter of embossing all the layers at once in the placement you'd like them, and it works for simple stack or crazy stacks which I'll show at the end.

Easy Apple Crumble

Nom Nom Nom, Cold weather always makes me want anything apple. I cant be the only one right? anyways Ive made this a couple times in the pat and its always been amazing, i cut the original recipe in half and adjust it jussstttt the tinist bit to make it even better! its very easy to double and works perfect both ways just use a 9x13 pan for double recipe!

Baby Clothes Everywhere

WE ALL KNOW THOSE MOM'S WHO GO WAY OVERBOARD WHEN THEY FIND OUT THEY'RE PREGNANT RIGHT? THE ONES WHO HAVE ENOUGH CLOTHES THAT OUTFITS ARE DISPOSABLE INSTEAD OF WASHABLE? YEAH THAT WAS ME AND IT FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO ME LAST WEEK.

Sending A Smile Card

It's been a couple weeks since I've posted but I'm back in action! Full details in next post;)

So I've still been filming over the past two weeks but hadn't had the ability to edit or upload so look out for quite a few cards this week!

Fuse Tool Fail

During Christmas time there was a lot of sales in the crafting community, i myself took advantage of far to many but I tried to be smart and combine their deals with discount codes as often as possible.

When I came across the Fuse Tool by We R Memory Keepers for 19.99 and i had a 25% off code, i couldn't pass it up. The description said it was a AU plug but I figured it would still work with an adapter.

I WAS WRONG

What On Earth Is mommy Time

Okay Mommies (and Daddies), 'tis time for some chit chat *yay for adult conversation* I'm not sure exactly how some people do it.. the whole perfect parent thing. I know, I know, it doesn't exist "a perfect parent" because no one knows whats perfect!

At this point I consider myself to be SUPER lucky with Lydia, she has a pretty set routine and she never goes crazy fussy for too long. Also generally I can put her down and do a quick chore like unload or load the dishwasher or make formula (yep I'm a formula mommy, Don't judge - my milk jugs are broken lol)

Snuggamonkey Swing and Chair Review

So Here we are with my very first review! No this is not a sponsored review by any means. I first received the bouncy chair from my mother for my Second child and then bought the swing about a month later (mainly to match when my original swing broke down)

So this is what this cute little bouncy chair looks like assembled. Id like to say it wasn't hard to put together but when you have two Newfies and a screwdriver... yeah, it's probably easy if you don't spend more time laughing and dropping pieces Lol

DIY Ink Storage

Okay so we've seen this done half a gazillion times right? right! BUT it is extremely hard to find someone willing to give their calculated measurements! Even some who want you to BUY them!! Insane in my opinion.. it's just math!!

Yea.. pain in the A** right? Well this one is only small but ill give you my measurements ALSO how to make it TWICE as wide and how to make it for just  Distress Inks!

Etch-A-Sketch Card

Inspired by photo on pintrest and later discovered many variations of it, simple and quick like you'll see in the video. only tools used were hero arts black dye ink, technique Tuesday's  A Reason To Party stamp set, Simon says stamps birthday farm animals, and simon says stamps stitched rectangles and stitched circles dies.

Bear Hugs Card

There's nothing better than a nice big hug, so why not share a hug in card form? yea.. that's a little mushy even for my taste.

ANYWHOO.. to start i grabbed a piece of a2 note card (staples brand), stamped my bear hug stamp from Art Impressions, as well as a copy of it on some sticker paper that I had.

Spinner Slider Thingy Card

Spinner Card? Slider Card? Whatever Card

We've all seen these amazing cards on pintrest where the lovely little character can be rotated around the middle of the card and they're s stinking cute, right?

I definitly did and I HAD to give it a try.

Now - This is more error than success (watch video to see most footage was unusable)

Clear Edged Card

This was a very impromptu video, i was organizing my Dies when I came across this Die that I have NO IDEA who makes it. I got it as a gift from Simon Says Stamp just before Christmas as part of one of their Promotions.

Either way, I thought it was a lovely lace and would be nice as a card edge but i knew taking out just the lace and leaving what would have been the gaps would have been a very hard job. So i went with the opposite and used the lace (i'm going to keep calling it lace since I think that's what it is lol)

Die Cut Inlay Card

So the other day while feeding little one and watching youtube (yep thatès all i can accomplish whilst feeding this little bundle of drool :) ) I came across a video of someone laying die-cuts inside of its original cut out to make a mosaic type piece. I thought it was GENIUS and of course had to try it! (once little one fell asleep for the night of course!)

Learning To Blend Distress Inks

For ages I've always seen people use distress inks with such EASE!! it irks me because i had the absolute hardest time with it. Originally I thought my inks were a problem, My first distress inks were given to me by my grandmothers friend and i figured they weren't blending well because maybe they were wet enough or maybe they were just to old.

Holiday Cards

A TOTAL OF 16 CARDS AND A BUNCH IN THE TRASH IN THE PROCESS!

After a trip to the Great Canadian Dollarstore and buying every 6x6 paper pack they had... i had far too much Christmas paper and not enough time (at the time). I watched a video of a lady who used an ENTIRE 6x6 pack to make a bunch of cards. Basically because 6x6 packs aren't the most useful things sometimes, she said that before she would allow herself to open a new one she had to finish the open one. GREAT IDEA... not for me though, i just tore a couple sheets out and made these two cards and I'll be spending most of the end of summer making Christmas cards *and trying to think cool thoughts*

Watercolor is hard!

Watercolor: Something you're either great at or completly suck at and never want to try again (at least in my opinion) So when I was out too my local dollarstore and seen a "childrens" water color set, I of course figured I HAD to be able to figure this one out... right?
